Alison Wright is an English actress. The Americans is her most famous character. For this, she received the Primetime Emmy Award and received much critical acclaim. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She studied acting and dancing at New York City's prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and The Barrow Group. In the auditions she took for parts, she worked as a waitress. When she went scuba diving, a passion of hers during that time, she had a cardiac incident that put her into the coma. After six days, her wonderful family gathered at her bedside at the hospital to grieve. Wright was born in Sunderland native, born on the 12th of July 1976. In Sunderland, she was fostered as a young girl by her adoptive family. She began dancing and acting at a young age.
